How many times have you joined a
network marketing group and became excited about all the riches, the
website or what your “Sponsor” told you that you will soon be
making...Only to find out that all the riches being made were being paid
to the top 1-3% of the hundreds or thousands of agents in the company.
How would you know which is the right MLM company for you? What should you look for in a network marketing company? What questions should you ask before joining MLMs? All Network Marketing companies are not all the same. Here are a few things to consider… The Company: |
|
How long has the company been in business? How much experience do the company leaders bring to the table? How much experience did the company leaders have at building other SUCCESSFUL MLM businesses before this company? Is the company positioned for long-time growth or short-term gains?
Products/Services:
Does the company have a solid product/service which is in high demand that will entice the customer to re-order EVERY month? If the company requires "auto ship", is it a great product that you will enjoy using again and again or will your garage soon be turning into a mini warehouse stock with junk?
The Comp Plan:
Who are the real beneficiaries of the company comp plan, you or the company? Are you building your down line for you or for the company? Do you feel that the company has systems in place that will erode your down line to an unfair advantage in their favor? If this is your gut feeling, by all means don't join!!!
Company Image:
How is the company seen by the public? Is the company seen as fair, progressive and ethical? Are they listed (in good standing) with the BBB and/or other consumer protection and business rating companies.
Start-up cost:
Are the start-up cost within reason for the average person? Keep in mind, just because you may be in a position and willing to cough up $300, $400 or $500 or more to get started, does not mean the average person interested in joining your team will be in that position or willing to invest that much money.
Average retention rate for associates:
This is one of the MOST important pieces of information (retention rate) you need to know, before ever considering joining ANY network marketing company. The average retention rate for MLM companies after the first year is around 10-15%. What this means is, if you recruit 100 new associates into your down-line, 10-15 of your associates may still be with you after their 1st year.
Networking Marketing companies with retention rates above 25% should be considered seriously; above 50%, very seriously; above 75%, don't hesitate!
